Manmeet – Do Saaye Ek Amrita
Manmeet: Writer and Actor
Manmeet has been writing for as long as she can remember. When life presented its early challenges, she found solace and strength in pen and paper, using writing as both companion and guide. What began as a personal journey of healing evolved into a lifelong practice of self-discovery and creative expression. Poems and stories born from this journey have been published in literary magazines and anthologies.
After moving to Canada, she expanded her storytelling beyond the written word and onto the stage. She has hosted cultural events, portrayed compelling characters as an actor, and written scripts for South Asian theatre productions. Through these creative pursuits, she discovered new ways to foster connection, reflection, and healing through art.
Driven by a passion for amplifying unheard stories, she hosted a radio show on Red FM Toronto for three years, bringing attention to the experiences, challenges, and voices of South Asian immigrants. In 2020, she was declared the winner of the Times of India Write India contest, judged by renowned poet, lyricist, and author Gulzar.
A certified wellness and life coach, Manmeet is also a mindfulness and expressive writing practitioner. Through writing circles, workshops, and coaching, she creates nurturing spaces where people can reconnect with themselves, access their inner wisdom, and discover the courage to live more authentically.
When she is not writing or facilitating, she can be found immersed in a book, listening to music, painting, walking in nature, or exploring new places, perspectives, and possibilities.
