Anuradha Grover Tejpal – Playwright & Director 

Anuradha Grover-Tejpal is a multidisciplinary and multilingual artist whose creative practice spans playwriting, directing, acting, poetry, filmmaking, and community storytelling. Writing in English, Hindi, and Punjabi, her work is recognized for its emotional depth, sharp wit, and socially reflective narratives that examine identity, migration, relationships, mental health, and contemporary cultural tensions. Through both theatre and film, she creates stories that are rooted in lived experiences and designed to spark conversation within communities. 

As the co-founder of Kahaani Kollective, Anuradha is committed to amplifying underrepresented voices and bringing difficult, often overlooked conversations into public spaces through accessible storytelling. Over the years, she has written more than 30 Hindi and Punjabi plays, including productions such as Modern Zindagi 3.0, Happy Anniversary, Darling!, Wholeheartedly in Love, CID– Bizzare 911 Calls, Badboo, Dil To Bacha Hai Ji, Skool Da Siyaapa, Nayantaara’s Delimma, Four More Ladoos, Please and Reboot. Her theatre work ranges from intimate stage productions to community-centered street theatre initiatives focused on social impact. 

Beyond theatre, Anuradha has written and directed many short films and mental health awareness projects in collaboration with organizations such as Soch Mental Health, Sheridan College, and St. Lawrence College. Her projects frequently explore emotional resilience, immigrant experiences, and collective healing through storytelling.
