Akhil embodies a profound passion for theatre, as evident in the quote, “He breathes theatre.” With over 30 years of dedicated experience spanning professional, commercial, and community-based theatre in both India and Canada, Akhil has established himself as a versatile actor. Recently, he showcased his talent in a full-length Hindi play with the Sawitri Theatre Group and has been honored with numerous acting awards in India.

Beyond acting, Akhil is also a creative poet and has seamlessly transitioned into directing, embracing the role with boundless enthusiasm. He has directed numerous full-length and one-act plays in three different languages, bringing his multifaceted artistic vision to life on stage. Akhil is currently looking forward to directing for MMFF2026, a collaboration between his own production Adaakar Events and the Sawitri Theatre Group, where his artistic journey continues to evolve and inspire.
