Ryan Thompson – Open Mic

Ryan Thompson is a poet, visual artist, spoken-word artist, and storyteller.

His artistic repertoire spans various mediums, including oil paint, acrylic paint, watercolor, markers, ink, charcoal, pencils, pastels, digital art, and experimental techniques.

His poetry, too, is replete with the same imagery and metaphor that inform his artistic style: dark, whimsical, and existential.

He has taught art in the Peel Region to all age groups, and he is now fully immersed in his art—from creative writing and graphic art, to music and animation.

His artwork has been exhibited in both Canada and the United States, and he performs his spoken word poetry across Peel and the GTA.

He is currently working on illustrating a book of his own poetry for publication.
